Previously, Clara worked at Horizon Africa, a boutique advisory and capital raising firm, supporting the mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and advisory departments. In her role, she provided sell side M&A advisory services and executed capital raise mandates for clients across various industries including education, FMCG, manufacturing, agriculture and the TMT sector.

Before this Clara worked in ABSA Bank Kenya (formerly Barclays Bank) in the East Africa leveraged finance department where she executed debt transactions in excess of $5million across the region. Clara holds a MSc in Investment Management from Cass Business School, City University London and a BSc (honors) in Finance and Investment Banking from University of Reading. She is also a CFA level III candidate.
